Our journey at Regal Rarities began with a simple walk down an Indian street at 5 PM,. On that walk, we noticed something that would change the course of our brand forever. An 89-year-old woman was sitting outside, delicately embroidering fabric with her hands. We were immediately captivated by the skill, beauty, and patience involved in her work. In that moment, we realized the potential for turning such craftsmanship into a business that empowers artisans, regardless of age.
A Vision to Empower Artisans
After listening to her story, we were struck by how such a talented person could become an entrepreneur, even at her age. Inspired, we made it our mission to create a platform that offers opportunities to artisans across various age groups—from 18 to 100 and beyond—where they can showcase their unique skills and earn a living. We believe that age should never be a barrier to creativity or entrepreneurship, and this became the foundation of Regal Rarities.
The Search for the Perfect Fabric
As we traveled through our village during Diwali, we were surrounded by fields of cotton plants, reminding us of the natural resources that India has to offer. But we wanted something more than just cotton for our products. After extensive research, studying fabrics used by kings and queens in the past, we discovered the unmatched qualities of linen—a fabric that has stood the test of time.
Why Linen?
We dove deep into the history and benefits of natural fabrics, and linen stood out as the perfect choice. Historically used by royalty, linen is known for its softness, breathability, and durability. We realized that in today's fast-paced world, where people juggle jobs, self-employment, and personal commitments, their clothing should support them, not hold them back.
