Shirt Manufacturing Process Of Regal Rarities

Once the fabric is prepared, the manufacturing process of the shirt typically involves the following steps:

1. Design & Pattern Making

  • Design: The shirt's design is conceptualized, including style, fit, embroidery, and detailing.
  • Pattern Creation: A pattern is made for each component of the shirt (body, sleeves, collar, cuffs, etc.). This pattern acts as a template for cutting the fabric and is created either manually or digitally using CAD software.

2. Fabric Selection

  • Choosing Fabric: The fabric is selected based on the design and desired qualities like comfort, durability, and texture. For example, your brand, Regal Rarities, uses linen to create breathable and comfortable shirts.
  • Fabric Inspection: Before cutting, the fabric is inspected for any flaws like tears or discoloration to ensure only high-quality material is used.

3. Fabric Cutting

  • Laying Out Fabric: The fabric is laid out in layers to prepare for cutting. The number of layers depends on the production volume, from single pieces to hundreds of layers in mass production.
  • Cutting the Fabric: The fabric is cut into the required shapes following the pattern. Advanced manufacturing uses tools like straight knives, electric cutters, or laser cutting machines to ensure precision and reduce waste.

4. Sewing & Assembly

  • Body Construction: The front, back, and side seams of the shirt are stitched together using sewing machines. Special care is given to the stitch quality to ensure durability.
  • Sleeves & Collar Attachment: Sleeves are sewn into the armholes, and the collar is attached separately. Both of these steps require precision to ensure proper alignment and a comfortable fit.
  • Cuffs & Plackets: Cuffs are added to the sleeves, and button plackets are stitched onto the front, forming the structure for buttons and buttonholes.

5. Embroidery (Optional)

  • Hand Embroidery: In your case, Regal Rarities includes hand embroidery that reflects Indian culture. This step is carefully done by artisans and is unique to each piece, giving the shirts a handcrafted charm.
  • Positioning & Quality Check: Since hand embroidery is intricate, it is essential to position the design accurately and check for consistency in stitches.

6. Finishing

  • Hemming: The bottom of the shirt and sleeve cuffs are hemmed for a clean edge.
  • Button Sewing: Buttons are attached to the shirt either by hand or machine, ensuring they are securely stitched in place.
  • Pressing & Ironing: The shirt is pressed with industrial irons to give it a polished and crisp look. This also helps the fabric retain its shape and ensures a high-quality finish.

7. Quality Control

  • Inspection: Every shirt undergoes a rigorous inspection for stitching quality, fabric flaws, proper fit, and accurate embroidery. This step ensures that only high-quality garments are sent to the market.
  • Sizing Check: The shirt is checked for correct sizing based on the design specifications. Any irregularities are flagged and addressed.
